Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant turned out to be the answer.
The wind was kicking up and the evening was turning cool. But I still wanted to have dinner outside on a beautiful sunny day in Louisville. And, as usual, I wanted to eat mostly vegetables.
So we ended up at Gordon Biersch Brewery, prominently located just off Fourth Street Live. By the time we snuggled up to the gas fireplace, we were nice and toasty. And we got to enjoy the evening light air brush the nearby skyscrapers.

Pleasant sedation started when I ordered off the craft martini menu. The peach martini looked good because it doesn’t have simple syrup. Therefore, I hoped it would not be too sweet.
When served, it was as promised. Quite fruity, but not syrupy sweet. I could taste all the ingredients which include my favorite, Grand Marnier.
I had never yet had Gordon Biersch Brewery’s veggie burger. So it was time. It turned out to be absolutely delicious. Much better than a traditional meat burger. Note to strict vegans: the lemon remoulade is not vegan. So, if you’re a purist, you’ll want to ask for that to be omitted.
My side order of french fries was also delish. Well seasoned, and I ate them fast enough that they didn’t have time to get cold. Even in the cool evening air.
Of course, the crime partner was also in heaven. In general, he is in heaven any time there is a menu of craft beers.
Our plates were surprisingly filling. So we ended up taking half my burger and one of his appetizers home. The other half of my veggie burger nuked up beautifully around 9 PM.
